Dog Groomer Zehlendorf: Route to the salon at Kurfürstendamm

If you're looking for a dog groomer in Zehlendorf, you can reach our salon in Charlottenburg with just one change. GroomRoom Berlin is located at Giesebrechtstraße 2, between Kurfürstendamm and Wilmersdorfer Straße. Take the S1 to Rathaus Steglitz and change there to the U9 to Kurfürstendamm. Including the short walk, it takes around 35 to 40 minutes, or about 20 to 25 minutes by car.

The journey to us is more worthwhile if you're planning a longer appointment with a specific groomer. Then the travel time hardly matters compared to the grooming time.

Which connection suits your corner of Zehlendorf?

Zehlendorf is spread out, so the best route depends on where you get on. The following travel times are rough estimates without traffic and without waiting times when changing trains.

• Along the S1 (Zehlendorf, Mexikoplatz, Schlachtensee): S1 to Rathaus Steglitz, U9 to Kurfürstendamm, then a ten-minute walk. Altogether around 35 to 40 minutes.
• Along the U3 (Krumme Lanke, Onkel Toms Hütte, Oskar-Helene-Heim): Take the U3 to Fehrbelliner Platz, then two stops on the U7 to Adenauerplatz. From there, it's a five-minute walk.
• Shorter walk on the U9 route: Change from the U9 to the U7 at Berliner Straße and ride to Adenauerplatz.
• By car: Via Clayallee or the A115 and A100, you'll reach City West in about 20 to 25 minutes.

You'll find parking spaces on Giesebrechtstraße and the side streets. During peak times, it's best to try Brandenburgische Straße. If there are engineering works on the S1, U3, or U9, a quick check of the travel planner before you leave is helpful.

After Schlachtensee: coats that love getting wet

Many dogs from Zehlendorf regularly walk in Grunewald, at Krumme Lanke, or around Schlachtensee. This is a treat for dogs that love to swim, but a bit of a challenge for thick coats. These are starting prices including VAT, as of September 2026. They apply equally to all districts. We'll give you the final, binding price after a personal assessment, before we start.

For large dogs with a lot of fur, the workload increases noticeably. For example, a very anxious Golden Retriever needing around three hours of grooming costs between 209 and 240 €. When booking online, you choose who grooms your dog. Alina is a Senior Groomer for Pomeranians, Standard Poodles, and large breeds, which suits many Zehlendorf family dogs. Nathalie is our Head Stylist for Poodles and Bichons, and also a Pomeranian specialist. As a Top Groomer, Nata brings over ten years of experience and works with great attention to detail.

For anxious dogs, Kristina is a great choice; she works as a Junior Groomer with a lot of patience and sensitivity. We take breaks as soon as a dog needs them. For very anxious or defensive dogs, we can schedule more time and a second person by arrangement. Dogs are bathed in the Hydra tub, and then we blow-dry the coat right down to the undercoat.
