Dog grooming Berlin: Full groom
The full groom is our complete grooming package for dogs of all breeds and sizes in Berlin. It costs from 79 € and takes 60 to 180 minutes depending on size. Included are bathing, blow-drying, brushing, a breed-standard cut or clip, as well as nails, eyes, paws, ears and hygiene area.

How much does a full groom for your dog cost?
A full groom at GroomRoom costs 79 € for dogs up to 2 kg and 209 € for dogs from 18 to 25 kg, Standard Poodles and Samoyeds. In between, the price depends on weight and coat. The duration ranges from 60 to 180 minutes; for Spitz and Pomeranian, the extra work for the thick double coat is included in the price.

Starting prices include VAT, as per online booking. Price ranges depend on coat condition and the groomer. We'll give you the final price before we start; dematting costs an extra 15 € for every 15 minutes started.
Who is it for?
Ideal every 6 to 8 weeks for Poodles, Doodles, Bichons, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers and Shih Tzus, meaning all breeds with continuously growing coats. Short-haired dogs come in every 8 to 12 weeks.

Regular grooming keeps the coat mat-free and ensures the appointment is short and relaxed. We will give you the final price before we start, once we have assessed your dog in person. All starting prices are on our pricing page, and we explain the appointment step by step under process.
Deshedding (removing undercoat)
Deshedding means we remove the loose undercoat before it sheds around your home or gets matted. This applies to dogs with a double coat, such as Golden Retrievers, Samoyeds, Huskies, Australian Shepherds, Spitzes, and Pomeranians.
We wash thoroughly, blow out the loose undercoat with a powerful dog dryer, and then brush through layer by layer. We never clip double coats, as shaving can damage the coat structure and its natural heat protection. Deshedding is included in the Full Groom for double-coated dogs.

How the Full Groom works
Allow 60 to 180 minutes, depending on your dog's size, coat and temperament. We will give you the final price before we start.
- Arrival and consultation. We check the coat and skin, discuss your preferred cut and give you the final price.
- Bathing. With pH-neutral premium shampoo by LT; for double coats, we loosen the dead undercoat during this step.
- Drying, brushing and combing. Using our gentle blow-drying system until the coat is dry and smooth; we gently tease out minor tangles with a comb instead of using force.
- Breed-specific haircut. With scissors or clippers, according to the breed standard or your personal preference.
- Nails, paws, eyes, ears, sanitary area. Nail clipping, trimming paws and toes, cleaning eyes and ears, and a sanitary trim.
- Finishing up. Final check, home grooming tips and the ideal schedule for your next appointment.

Do you also remove the undercoat (deshedding)?
Yes. For dogs with a double coat, we remove the loose undercoat during washing, blow-drying, and brushing. We never clip double coats. Find out more in the Deshedding section.

Dog clipping Berlin: When is a clip necessary?
Clipping is necessary if the coat is heavily matted or if the breed suits a short clip. We usually scissor-cut Poodles, Doodles and Bichons into a Teddy-Cut. We never clip the dense double coat of a Pomeranian. You can read about what helps with matting under matted dog, what to do.

How often should my dog come in for a Full Groom?

What cuts are possible for Poodles and Doodles?
