Our dog groomer in Charlottenburg is located at Giesebrechtstraße 2, right between Kurfürstendamm and Wilmersdorfer Straße. It is a five-minute walk from the Adenauerplatz underground station, and about ten minutes from the Kurfürstendamm station. You will find parking directly on Giesebrechtstraße and nearby Brandenburgische Straße. We are open Tuesday to Saturday by appointment, and you can drop in for a free consultation on weekdays.

Where exactly is the dog groomer in Charlottenburg located?

Giesebrechtstraße branches off from Kurfürstendamm and is one of the quiet residential streets in the west of Charlottenburg. Our number 2 is right at the beginning of the street, so you are just a few steps away from Kurfürstendamm. Heading north, you can also easily walk to Wilmersdorfer Straße with all its shops. The neighbourhood between these two streets is full of cafes, restaurants and small shops.

This is really handy for you, because a Full Grooming takes 90 to 180 minutes. You don't have to sit in the salon or drive home during this time. Many owners grab a coffee around the corner, do some shopping or go out to eat. As soon as your dog is ready, we will get in touch and you can come pick them up.

How to get to us by underground, bus and car

The quickest route is the U7 to Adenauerplatz, and from there it is a five-minute walk along Kurfürstendamm. The U1 and U9 stop at Kurfürstendamm station, which is about a ten-minute walk away. Several bus routes go down Kurfürstendamm and stop at Adenauerplatz, including the M19 and M29. From there, just walk along Kurfürstendamm and turn into Giesebrechtstraße after a few minutes.

If you're driving, take the Kurfürstendamm and turn directly into Giesebrechtstraße. You'll find parking spaces on Giesebrechtstraße itself and on Brandenburgische Straße, which is just a few minutes' walk away. During peak times in the afternoon, it might take a few minutes longer to find a spot. Please factor this in so your dog arrives relaxed and without any rush.

What services do we offer and how much do they cost?

The prices below are starting prices including VAT, valid as of September 2026. We'll give you a binding final price before the appointment, once we've assessed your dog in person. You can find a full overview of all details and potential surcharges on our prices page.

The Full Groom includes bathing, blow-drying, brushing and a breed-standard cut or clip. It also covers nail, eye, paw and ear care, as well as the sanitary area. The Mini Groom is the option without a cut: washing, drying, combing and light thinning. Thinning means the groomer lightly thins out the coat using special thinning scissors. Nails, eyes, paws and the sanitary area are also included in this package. Hand-stripping is the technique for Terriers, Schnauzers, Dachshunds and other wire-haired breeds, where the dead topcoat is plucked out.

For individual services, nail clipping starts at 15 euros, paw trimming at 18 euros and ear cleaning at 18 euros. The 4-in-1 combo package covering nails, paws, eyes and the sanitary area is available from 45 euros. Junior Grooming is carried out by our Junior Groomer under supervision at a fixed price. How an appointment with us works

A visit to GroomRoom always follows the same steps, so you know what to expect for you and your dog.

1. Drop-off: You arrive at Giesebrechtstraße 2 with your dog at the scheduled time and check in at reception.
2. Assessment: Your groomer checks the coat, skin, nails and ears, and discusses the cut and your wishes with you.
3. Fixed price: After the assessment, we give you the final price, and only then does the grooming begin.
4. Grooming: You can explore the neighbourhood or watch through the window while your dog is groomed in peace.
5. Pick-up: We'll let you know as soon as your dog is ready and show you the result on the table.
6. Payment: You pay at pick-up with cash, debit card, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

We don't do advance payments or instalments, you always pay after the groom. Please cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise we charge 70 percent of the price and issue an invoice for it. Surcharges only apply if relevant: de-matting costs from 15 Euro per 15 minutes started, a thick Pomeranian double coat is 20 Euro. Which districts are we easy to reach from?

As a dog groomer in West Berlin, we are the obvious choice for the districts around the Kurfürstendamm. The following travel times are rough estimates and depend on traffic and your starting address.

• Charlottenburg: From the neighbourhood you can walk or cycle, from Richard-Wagner-Platz the U7 takes you to Adenauerplatz in a few minutes.
• Wilmersdorf: Brandenburgische Straße leads south from Adenauerplatz into the district, by bus or bike it usually takes less than ten minutes.
• Halensee: The Kurfürstendamm connects Halensee with our corner, on foot it takes ten to 15 minutes depending on your starting point.
• Schöneberg: You can take the U7 directly from Bayerischer Platz to Adenauerplatz without changing, the journey takes about ten minutes.
• Westend: Driving via Kaiserdamm takes about ten to 15 minutes, and there's parking available on Brandenburgische Straße.
• Grunewald: Driving via Hubertusallee gets you to Kurfürstendamm in about ten minutes, or a bit longer by bus.

Your first visit to the dog groomer in Charlottenburg

If it's your first time, we recommend popping in for a quick consultation without an appointment, ideally on a weekday morning. This gives your dog a chance to get used to the salon, the smells and the groomer, while we can realistically assess what needs doing. Afterwards, you can book the right grooming appointment online or directly in the salon. We welcome puppies for their first introductory visit after their second vaccination to ensure a relaxed start.
