Dog groomer Mitte: Directions to the dog grooming salon in Charlottenburg

GroomRoom does not operate a dog grooming salon in Mitte. Our only location is at Giesebrechtstraße 2, 10629 Berlin in Charlottenburg. We are open for you and your dog Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00. The journey from Alexanderplatz via U2 and U7 takes exactly 22 minutes according to the timetable. A full groom starts at 79 €. Breeds with continuously growing coats like Poodles or Maltese visit the salon every six to eight weeks. Short-haired dogs need an appointment every eight to twelve weeks. We work without overbooking in a calm atmosphere. Your dog gets the undivided attention of their groomer during the appointment. As an owner, you are welcome to watch the grooming process from outside through the large shop window at any time. We will give you the binding final price before starting the groom after a personal assessment.

Why do we not have a branch in Mitte?

Many dog owners look for a reliable dog groomer right on their doorstep. The Mitte district offers many shops from Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt to Friedrichstraße. However, you will not find a GroomRoom dog grooming salon in the Regierungsviertel or at the Fernsehturm. Instead, we focus entirely on our salon in the Charlottenburg district. A central location gives us full control over the quality of our work. We work every day without time pressure in just one place. A professional salon requires plenty of space for tables, tubs, and a quiet waiting area. Rents for such commercial spaces are extremely high around Alexanderplatz or Friedrichstraße. Use these train connections from the city centre

Great public transport links make getting here from Mitte really easy. The U7 station Adenauerplatz is just four minutes from our door. We've put together the fastest routes from the city centre for you.

1. From Alexanderplatz station, take the S9 to Charlottenburg station. From there, change to the U7 at the nearby U Wilmersdorfer Straße station. It's then just one stop to U Adenauerplatz. The journey time is 22 minutes.
2. From U Stadtmitte, take the U2 to Bismarckstraße. Change there to the U7 and get off at U Adenauerplatz. This route takes 21 minutes in total.
3. From Friedrichstraße station, take the S5 to S Charlottenburg. Change again at U Wilmersdorfer Straße to the U7 to Adenauerplatz. This journey takes 18 minutes.

Dog grooming Berlin: Asphalt and parks require special care for city dogs

Dog grooming prices Berlin: Our services at a glance

We charge the same prices for dogs from Mitte as for all other districts. These are starting prices including VAT. We will give you the binding final price before we start, following a personal assessment.

Thinning means we lightly thin out the coat using special thinning scissors. Junior Grooming costs 60 € for dogs under five kilos and 75 € for five to ten kilos. We only charge for dematting if necessary at 15 € per 15 minutes started. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, we charge 70 percent of the price. Poodles and Pomeranians need regular grooming

Many owners in Mitte have breeds with continuously growing hair or a thick double coat. A Poodle or Maltese needs a breed-specific cut every six to eight weeks. Their coat keeps growing and mats quickly without regular grooming. We brush the coat thoroughly and cut it just the way you want. We charge a surcharge for the Pomeranian's thick coat of 20 € for the mini groom (already included in the Spitz/Pom full groom package). Our specialists for this breed are Alina and Natalie. An appointment for a Pomeranian after six months without a salon visit takes about two and a half hours. The price in this case, including dematting, is around 165 to 180 Euro.

Hand stripping Berlin: We hand strip Terriers and Schnauzers

Wire-haired breeds like Miniature Schnauzers, Dachshunds or Jack Russell Terriers need a special technique. We hand-strip the coat of these dogs in our salon. Hand-stripping means we pluck out ripe and loose hair with our fingers or a stripping knife. We offer hand-stripping from 70 € per hour. Such an appointment takes 90 to 150 minutes depending on the breed and condition. The plucking doesn't hurt the dog because the hair is already dead. Through stripping, the coat keeps its firm texture and strong colour. Clipping with a machine would make the harsh topcoat soft and colourless. You bring your terrier for stripping every eight to twelve weeks depending on the breed. We will advise you in detail on the right technique for your dog during the initial assessment.

Puppy grooming Berlin: Bring your puppy for their first introduction groom

A young dog first needs to get used to the sounds and smells in the salon. You can bring your puppy in for their first puppy introduction groom after their second vaccination. We take plenty of time to help them settle on the table. Puppy grooming costs 59 € for dogs up to three kilos. For larger puppies up to ten kilos, we charge 89 €. We introduce your young dog to the brush, the dryer and the water in the tub. Through play, they learn that grooming in the salon is safe and pain-free. Cat grooming Berlin: we also groom cats in our salon

Alongside dogs, we also welcome cats from all over the city to our cat grooming salon. We offer a Full Groom for cats starting from 99 €. Cats usually groom themselves and keep their coats very clean. Older or sick cats often can't manage this daily care on their own anymore. The coat then quickly becomes matted and forms hard pelts on the skin. These mats pull on the skin and cause pain with every movement. We gently free your cat from this matting. Persian cats, Maine Coons or British Shorthairs are prone to severe matting if not groomed properly. We carefully comb through the thick coat and remove knots. For very severe matting, we clip the coat with clippers. Bathing is not part of the standard programme for cats, we clean the coat dry. We include nail clipping and clean your cat's eyes and ears. An appointment for a cat requires a particularly quiet environment without loud dogs. We therefore plan these appointments very carefully into our daily schedule. It is best to transport your cat to us in a secure and darkened carrier.

We will give you the exact and binding final price before every appointment. A regularly groomed Shih Tzu takes about 90 minutes for a Full Groom. The price in this example is between 105 and 135 euros. A very anxious Golden Retriever takes around three hours to groom. In this case, we often work with a second person for support. The price for this demanding appointment is between 209 and 240 euros. A Full Groom for large dogs generally starts from 209 €. You pay no hidden fees or flat-rate surcharges without reason with us. We only charge additional costs for actual extra work such as heavy dematting. Payment is made upon collection in cash, by debit card, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We do not offer instalment payments and do not require advance payment.
