How much does an appointment cost and what does the price depend on?
A full groom starts at 79 €, a mini groom at 59 € and hand stripping at 70 €. Hand stripping means plucking out the dead topcoat by hand, which is common for terriers, schnauzers, dachshunds and other wire-haired breeds. The starting price applies to small, regularly groomed dogs. Size, coat condition and the time required will increase the price.
We only charge extra fees when necessary. Dematting costs 15 € per 15 minutes started, and for the thick double coat of a Pomeranian we add 20 €. You can book individual services separately, like nail clipping from 15 € or the combo package for nails, paws, eyes and hygiene area from 45 €. We'll give you the final, binding price before the appointment, once we've seen your dog. All starting prices are in the price list.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, we will invoice you for 70 percent of the price. You only pay when you pick up your dog, either in cash, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
How long does a salon visit take?
A full groom takes 90 to 180 minutes, a mini groom 60 to 90 minutes, and hand stripping 90 to 150 minutes. From Steglitz, add an 11 to 13-minute drive and a 4-minute walk each way. You can spend the waiting time in the neighbourhood between Kurfürstendamm and Wilmersdorfer Straße.

Here's how an appointment with us works:
- Welcome and a quick visual check of the coat, nails and ears.
- Bathing in the Hydra tub with pH-neutral natural products from LT and Ecopets.
- Blow-drying and brushing, while gently removing small knots in the coat.
- Scissoring or clipping with Aesculap tools, tailored to the breed and coat type.
- Nails, eyes, paws, ears and hygiene area to finish.
- Handover with brief feedback on home grooming until the next appointment.
You can find out which steps are included in which package on the full groom page.
How often should you travel to us from Steglitz?
The frequency depends on the coat type, not the distance. We recommend these intervals when you pick up your dog:
| Coat or breed | Salon frequency |
|---|---|
| Poodle, Doodle, Bichon, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu | every 6 to 8 weeks |
| Pomeranian and Spitz | every 6 to 10 weeks, brush at home several times a week |
| Shorthaired dogs | every 8 to 12 weeks |
| Wire-haired with hand stripping | every 8 to 12 weeks |
| Puppies | first puppy introduction groom after the second vaccination |
Sticking to these intervals saves time in the salon and keeps you closer to the starting price. You can read more about the intervals for each breed in our article How often to visit the dog groomer.
Which dog groomer suits your dog best?
We assign appointments based on specialisation. Natalie, our Head Stylist, works on Poodles and Bichons. Alina, our Senior Groomer, looks after Pomeranians, Standard Poodles and large breeds. Nata, our Master Groomer, takes on Doodles and extensive dematting. Kristina, our Junior Groomer, works with anxious dogs and small breeds. When booking online, you choose the package, groomer, day and time yourself.
For puppies and small dogs up to 10 kg, we offer Junior Grooming by our Junior Groomer under supervision. It takes place on Wednesday and Saturday, 16:00 to 19:00 and costs a fixed price of 60 € for dogs under 5 kg and 75 € for dogs between 5 and 10 kg. You can find all the details on the Junior Grooming page.
Large dogs step onto the table themselves here
Large dogs don't need to be lifted in our salon. Our grooming tables can be lowered, so your dog can step on and then be raised to working height. We schedule breaks for insecure dogs and work at a calm pace. Very anxious or defensive dogs need more time and sometimes a second person, which we will discuss with you beforehand. You can read about how such an appointment works in our article Anxious dog at the dog groomer.
For your first visit, travel outside of rush hour and plan a 15-minute buffer. This way, your dog arrives relaxed and doesn't have to go straight onto the table after the journey.
How to plan your appointment from Steglitz
Book your appointment online or call us on 0152 5452 4113. Online booking is available 24/7, where you can choose your package, groomer, day and time. If you're unsure which package is right, pop into the salon on a weekday: a consultation with a coat check is free and only takes a few minutes. Our shop window is transparent, so you are welcome to watch from the outside. We are closed on Monday and Sunday.
If your dog is heavily matted, please let us know when booking. We will then reserve more time so we can work calmly. Our article Dog is matted, what to do explains what is possible with matting and when a shave-down is the only option. If your dog has pain, bleeding, open sores or severe itching, they need to see a vet first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a dog groomer directly in Steglitz?
No, we don't have a salon directly in Steglitz. Our GroomRoom is located in Charlottenburg, Giesebrechtstraße 2, 10629 Berlin. From S+U Rathaus Steglitz, take the U9 to U Berliner Str. and then the U7 to U Adenauerplatz, which takes 13 minutes in total. From there, it's a 4-minute walk. From U Walther-Schreiber-Platz, the journey takes 11 minutes, and the walk is the same.
How much does grooming cost for a small dog from Steglitz?
A full groom starts at 79 € and includes bathing, blow-drying, brushing, a haircut or clip, as well as nails, eyes, paws, ears and the hygiene area. A mini groom without a haircut starts at 59 €. The final price depends on size, coat condition and the time required. We'll give you a binding quote before the appointment once we've seen your dog.
How much time should I plan for the appointment?
Expect 90 to 180 minutes for a full groom, 60 to 90 minutes for a mini groom and 90 to 150 minutes for hand stripping. From Steglitz, add 11 to 13 minutes of travel time and a 4-minute walk each way. It's best to plan a little buffer for your first visit.
Can I come by car and park nearby?
Yes, many owners drive here. You can park in Giesebrechtstraße and Brandenburgische Straße. We don't have a reserved parking space, so you should allow a few minutes to find one. We don't provide specific driving times as they depend heavily on traffic.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Breeds with continuously growing coats like Poodles, Doodles, Bichons, Malteses, Yorkshire Terriers and Shih Tzus come in every 6 to 8 weeks. Short-haired dogs only need a visit every 8 to 12 weeks. Pomeranians and Spitzes should be brushed at home several times a week, and visit the salon every 6 to 10 weeks. For hand stripping, the interval is 8 to 12 weeks depending on the breed.
My dog is anxious, what do you do differently?
We schedule more time and take breaks if the dog gets restless. We don't overbook the salon, so it stays calm. By arrangement, we look after very anxious or defensive dogs with extra time and sometimes a second person. Please let us know when booking so we can reserve the right slot.
